Bed Bugs have the potential to be a massive pain, and it is crucial to have a stern pest control session conducted to root them out. Especially in Mumbai and Bangalore, with their humid weather. While they start by infesting mattresses and pillows, bed bugs thrive in wooden crevices, blankets and dusty corners of your bedroom. They creep out at night, suck your blood in a nasty long bite then scamper to the nearest corner leaving behind streaks of blood on your precious upholstery. There is absolutely nothing ‘cute’ about bed bugs.

One of our dear patrons insisted on learning more about the process involved in tackling the menace. We asked our friends at Mr. Homecare┬áto write in with a detailed description of the Bed Bug Control Service and they didn’t disappoint. Trust this helps!

This treatment is carried out by providing thorough oil/water based residual insecticide spray to all the bed bug infested areas within the premises. All the folds and tufts of the mattresses, carpets, upholstery of chairs and sofas, hollow wooden/aluminium frames, furniture, cracks and crevices, the gaps in the photo frame, behind small openings in the wall paper, window and door frames, gaps/cracks in the storage cabinets, behind wall color peels and such other bedbug hiding places will be covered.

The entire premises has to be kept closed for minimum 2 hours to enable the insecticide to have its desired effect and then ventilated for one hour after the exposure period by opening the windows and switching on the fans. No human beings should be present inside the premises from the start of insecticide exposure period till the ventilation of the premises i.e. the 2 hours closure period and 1 hour ventilation period. The chemicals used for this treatment have some mild odor specifically to flush out the bedbugs hiding deep in the cracks, crevices, joints of furniture and so on. Hence special care should be taken to keep the newly born child, elderly people, people allergic to smell, people with respiratory problems, pets, fish tank if any, away from the premises to be treated for a day.
