Though coffee is preferable, we admire tea for its subtlety. It doesn’t force its flavor on your taste buds, but simply exists, blending with your thoughts, soothing them if there is allowance. While our team members might relate more to the strong headed espressos, Hammer and Mop in its essence is much like White Tea. And happy customers with their glowing testimonials only makes us whiter than the whitest white.
When we first spoke to Esther D’Souza, we knew that she would be a customer to watch out for. Quite particular about what was required from the moving in cleanup session, we knew that it had to be thorough. Though our effort is towards every cleanup being equally good, it always accounts for moments of stress where we worry about not delivering the best.
Well, it didn’t start out that smoothly. In a whirlwind of conversations over texts, emails and phone – Hammer and Mop promptly skipped to schedule Esther’s cleanup for a particular day. It stayed out of our attention till she called us late evening the day before, and we had our wee tongues tied. The cleanup could be scheduled though, we had a team available. And then we waited for her feedback with bated breath:
“Thanks a bunch,” we replied. “Can we please have a testimonial from you?” Because when customers take such an effort to type out their feedback to us, it means the world to us! Testimonials (proof of them pampering us) allow us to pamper them further. And Esther, being so darn awesome, wrote in with a super generous one on our Facebook page.
This is how she made our Tuesday joyful. We are proud of our supervisor Rupesh Bhayde for doing what he does best, and the cleaning team as they work hard delighting our patrons day after day. Just like everyone else at Hammer and Mop.
The next day, we booked another cleanup for her, for one of her residences across the city. And the day after that, a cleanup was booked for her parents! She is one of our favorite patrons already! Thank you, Esther. Now we are a bunch of happy teacups :)
